Tom serves on the Steering Committee representing the Mayor’s Office on behalf of Andy Icken. The steering committee is composed of all affect agencies and departments of the City. The project is managed by the Buffalo Bayou Partnership, a 501(c)(3) under the direction of the Steering Committee.
Tom’s role is also to assist the Park’s project manager by serving as the liaison with Management in the Mayor’s office the Legal Department for the complex contractual arrangements necessary to secure the $53M of private funding by setting up conditions that provide the confidence the improvements will be maintained. Tom also expedites permits, change approvals and attends all meetings on behalf of the Chief Development Officer as the project moves through its three phases.
