The plant&#8217;s capacity is 200 MGD and 400 MGD peak hydraulic flow. The construction cost was over $357,000,000. The contracts were built with the help of three federal grants with the remaining funding from state and local agencies.<a href=\"http:\/\/davis360.com\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/69aerial.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-97\" src=\"http:\/\/davis360.com\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/69aerial-300x220.jpg\" alt=\"69aerial\" width=\"300\" height=\"220\" srcset=\"https:\/\/davis360.com\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/69aerial-300x220.jpg 300w, https:\/\/davis360.com\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/69aerial.jpg 440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Unique features of this project included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an on-site cryogenic oxygen generation plant;<\/li>\n<li>enclosed aeration basins to contain the oxygen rich air space;<\/li>\n<li>mix-media final effluent filtration;<\/li>\n<li>sixteen 180-foot diameter clarifiers;<\/li>\n<li>sludge drying facility;<\/li>\n<li>barge loading dock for dried sludge;<\/li>\n<li>One of the first distributed digital control system in a municipal facility; and<\/li>\n<li>the 144&#8243;-diameter line delivering wastewater from 35% of the city.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tom served as the Coordinating Engineer employed by the managing partner in a construction management joint venture.
